The crews of the Strela-10 air defence system provide an ultra-reliable shield around the clock
The enemy aircraft, helicopters, drones and even ballistic missiles are hit by Russian air defence systems. Every day, the crews of the Strela-10 scan the sky. As soon as any air object that does not respond to the ‘friend or foe’ request enters the area of responsibility, the crews take it for escort in readiness to destroy.
After additional reconnaissance, the unmanned aerial vehicle was identified and taken for escort. Strela-10 crew moved out of the waiting area, took the starting position and, having captured the target, received the command to destroy. The anti-aircraft guided missile hit the target - the Leleka-100 drone at a distance of about 3 km. After a shot, the calculation on the combat vehicle changes position in a matter of seconds so as not to fall under the retaliatory strike of enemy artillery.
