Pink Floyd - Time (Animation competition entry TDSOTM50)

This is my exact workflow and is an example. I start in Midjourney, I prompt: Cinematic, wide angle shot, brown structure in a park that looks like Guggenheim NYC, sun is rising (this is 12 seconds in the video). This is the basic structure for a prompt. I play with different variable to get a image that I like. I use “Style tuner“ function in Midjourney. Usually I create 64 different styles with this function and play around till I’m satisfied of overall look. After Midjourney I upscale my images in Topaz photo AI(if I need more detail I use Magnific AI to pull out more detail from the image). If there is something I want to change in a image, I use Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop. Animation happens in Runwayml Gen-2. I take the image in gen-2, usually star with basic pan/zoom/Left/Right/ /-/. If I need more movement I play around with tool called “motion brush“, over all motion strength, etc. Clock part and solo part I turn everything on eleven, play with the speed and prompt for something shiny. You can see Midjourney “style tune“ function in the end, black/red/white part and pastel home part. Editing/efx/animation is done in Premiere pro and After effects. Last thing is scaling with Topaz Video AI. This was the best way for quality footage at that moment. Biggest obstacles for me were: Consistency, it’s really hard to get a solid story or scene happening. AI is not that smart yet or my prompting is not efficient. Cost, monthly plans for all software I use, around 400 Euros a month. Also, I often wonder what is the carbon footprint of that Nvidia H100 cloud servers I use? Time, I’m not keen on regular AI generated art ecstatics and it takes time to get the look right.
