Second set of gravitational wave ’chirps’ from LIGO - GW151226

On 26th of December 2015 the LIGO detectors picked up a second gravitational-wave signal, dubbed “GW151226“, from yet another pair of merging black holes. Read all about the discovery here: The “chirps“ heard in this animation were created by converting the best-fit models of LIGO’s gravitational-wave signals into sounds. The first sound is from modelled gravitational waves detected by LIGO’s detectors at Hanford, o
