The Lutheran Sisters’ Story

Unity and reconciliation are beautiful, but also very challenging qualities to achieve in relationships. The Sisters in this video reflect on some of their shard story of reconciliation of living out a life of reconciliation in community. Sister Joela Krüger and Sister Damiana Lerp are two members of the Lutheran Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary in Darmstadt, Germany. This video came from post-interview thoughts of the sisters. The video is part of the Wittenberg 2017 Initiative 500 Days of Reconciliation, calling the Body of Christ to prepare for reconciliation. The 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation is just around the corner! Tradition ascribes the date of October 31, 1517 as the beginning of the Reformation. On October 31, 2017, many in Germany and around the world will observe the remarkable occurrence of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
