Overview of The Virtual Analog Synthesizer | Retrologue

Retrologue 2 is a powerful virtual analog synthesizer that is available in VST, AU and AAX formats for almost any DAW. With great new features which are perfect for creative sound design, Retrologue 2 can create everything from classic vintage sounds to those for the most modern projects. This video highlights the various sections and features of the instrument. Basic facilities include polyphonic or monophonic mode, the retrigger button, glide/finger mode and legato, but things get really interesting with the powerful oscillator section, which features three oscillators with different waveforms, a sub and noise generator, an oscillator mix function and many different options for sound-shaping. A comprehensive filter section with a wide range of filter types, cutoff and resonance, along with an amplitude envelope, modulators section and classic analog features like ring modulation and distortion add up to an incredibly versatile instrument. And, of course, many of the controls can be easily allocated to controls on your MIDI controller for simple, realtime experimenting. Whether you use Cubase or a different DAW, Retrologue 2 is a supremely powerful and programmable source of analog sounds. We hope you find this video entertaining and useful.
