Steel Can Beat Thugs (1962)

Titles read: “LONDON - STEEL CAN BEAT THUGS“. In a bank we see C/U of bank notes being put into pockets inside a security waistcoat. A man takes his coat off and puts the waistcoat on. For added security the waistcoat is fastened across the man’s chest with a steel chain and fitted with a padlock. More money is put into a security case. The man puts his coat on over the waistcoat then puts on a steel-lined bowler hat after tapping it with his fist. He leaves with the bag. Exterior of the bank as he comes out carrying the security case. He walks along the street and is attacked by a man wearing a scarf over his face. The robber hits our man on the head (unfortunately, after his strong bowler has fallen off) with a cosh and snatches the case. An alarm sounds from the case as the robber runs off. The case then starts belching smoke so the robber thinks better of it and drops the case on the ground. Our man recovers and picks up the case, switching off the smoke. Notes and leaflets on file. F
