Zhao Ge (朝歌) Trailer, with Eng Subs

Another upcoming historical production by Yu Zheng (于正) that features Yanxi (延禧) actors, namely Wu Jin Yan (吴谨言) and Xu Kai (许凯). The trailer came out some time ago, but I added English subtitles and re-posted it here, for fellow Yanxi fans :) Zhao Ge (朝歌) is about the downfall of the ancient Shang dynasty, with many mythical elements and legends mixed in. The show is set for 50 episodes and slated to be released in 2019. Wu Jin Yan plays Su Da Ji (苏妲己), a notoriously evil woman in Chinese history. Xu Kai is Yang Jian (杨戬), also known as Er Lang Shen (二郎神), the deity with a third eye of truth. In interviews, they would talk about how they became friends while filming this show in 2016, two years before Yanxi. It was Xu Kai’s first acting gig and as his senior in Yu Zheng’s company, Wu Jin Yan helped him out, a lot.
