White’s Boots Limited Charles F. Stead Release

It took more than 110 years for us to cross the Atlantic and partner with C.F. Stead, our allies from Old World shoemaking traditions, but it makes sense and it means boot aficionados can benefit from our first line of production. By the end of WW1, both Otto White and Charles F. Stead were putting their names to some of the best boots and leathers in the world respectively. Both companies survived two world wars with sustained growth. Through WW1, C.F. Stead was known for fine leathers in the manufacturing of bags, wallets, and jackets, but further developments in the clothing industry demanded unique hides for various purposes, including shoes and boots. Due to WW2 rationing and regulations, tanning leather for the use of military boots became a necessity for C.F. Stead and the tradition still holds today.
