Bridge Building AKA Army Bridge Building (1963)

River Thames, between Henley and Maidenhead, Oxfordshire/ Berkshire. As part of an army exercise soldiers construct a bridge to cross Thames. Various shots of military vehicles driving through mud. The soldiers, watched by their officers, float massive pontoons on river. The pontoons are joined to form half a bridge. A tractor is driven onto it. The pontoons then drift down river and are connected to another half of a bridge coming out from the opposite bank. Once bridge is completed, a convoy of army vehicles drives across.
