The building of the bushcraft saxon house with hand tools only continues. This time we build the door frame, wattle the side walls and build the gable ends out of logs. The timber frame structure is much sturdier now that we have built the rafters and battens or lath. It also helped that we used traditional mortise and tenon joints for the roundwood timber frame.
