Before installing your new laminate floor, you’ll need to prepare the surface. A clean start is half the job, so begin by vacuuming thoroughly. Dust and dirt can cause unevenness or annoying, creaking sounds, so make sure you clean the surface carefully. After cleaning, it’s time to check whether your underfloor is perfectly even. You can use one of your new Quick-Step boards to check this. Make sure you try different angles and directions: your laminate won’t lay perfectly on an uneven underfloor. Bring the closed boxes containing your new Quick-Step laminate boards into the room.
