Wounded Troops (1943)

Unused / unissued material - date and locations unclear or unknown. United States Army Officers talk in street. Wounded soldiers are carried from bombed area on stretchers by medical orderlies. Other wounded men lie on stretchers under tents. Injured soldiers play cards. Wounded soldiers on stretchers are loaded onto an aeroplane. An American nurse speaks to the patients and checks them in. Inside we see stretchers being put on holders attached to the sides of the plane. Stretchers are loaded onto a ship. Below decks patients are tended to by a nurse. Stretchers and injured soldiers sit on a crate and are lifted by crane onto the deck of a ship. Views from the ship as we move off towards a large Red Cross ship anchored off the coast.
