Protesting farmers ’bombard’ riot police with manure as they clash in Brussels

Tractors were driven through police barricades in Brussels and water cannons used on February 26 as farmers arrived again in the Belgian capital for their continued protests against EU-led sectoral reforms. According to the Brussels Times, hundreds of tractors flooded into Brussels on the morning of a meeting of EU agriculture ministers. The paper said police were being “bombarded” with dung, and responded with tear gas. Footage here shows police using a water cannon against tractors near the EU Council Building.
