RMS Olympic - The Magnificent Ship

RMS Olympic was one of the most beautiful ocean liners that ever sailed the seas. She was built in 1908, launched on 20 October 1910 and brought thousands of soldiers into safety in the First World War. She is the only remaining vessel that sank a U-boat 103 from Germany during the war. Her come back after the war, earned her the nickname “The Old Reliable“ by many people. The 1920’s was the biggest adventure time for Olympic, during the great depression of 1929 it was clear that Olympic didn’t had a much longer career... in 1935 she was sold for scrap. There was much critic about scrapping the Mauretania and Olympic. Even president Roosevelt in 1935 wrote a message to Cunard White Star Line to save the Mauretania and Olympic. In 1937, her empty hull was demolished in Scotland. Olympic sailed since then off into History.
