GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Stars () | Rust Scores His Fifth Goal Through Six Games

The Pittsburgh Penguins hosted the Dallas Stars Tuesday night at PPG Paints Arena. This is the first of three games at home for the Penguins. John Ludvig also made his NHL debut. Looking to bounce back, the Penguins started the 1st period at a fast pace, tallying 18 shots on net. With 38 seconds left in the period, Bryan Rust was able to captialize and put the Penguins on the board. Jake Guentzel entered the zone with the puck, fake pumped to freeze the Dallas netminder. Guentzel dished the puck over to Rust crashing the net and redirecting the puck in the net. The Penguins led the Stars 1-0 to end the 1st. Dallas was ready to respond in the 2nd scoring two goals of their own. Jason Robertson and Evgenii Dadonov both scored giving the Stars a 2-1 lead to end the 2nd. The Stars doubled their lead in the 3rd. Thomas Harley got his first of the season and Wyatt Johnston goal the final goal for Dallas. The game ended 4-1 in favor of the Stars.
