It was Hertha who had picked him, solid and sweet and patiently allowing a young Haaral to climb and tumble on and off his back. Where the larger horses would outrun him in open terrain, Guthre was a king among hills and crags, climbing up stoney hills and broken terrain in a mad scramble, graceful as a goat. And he is clever too, always seeming to know where the young manling wants to go, almost as if they were of a mind, as friends oft are. This was a properly challenging one, as you can see by the ungodly amount of studies we did, but we did it!
