Ukrainian drone strikes target Putin’s strategic bomber airbase

Ukrainian drone strikes hit the Russian Morozovsk district in Rostov Oblast overnight. They were targeting the Engels airfields in Saratov which hosts Putin’s SU-34, Tu-95 and Tu-22 aircrafts that keep bombing the Ukrainian frontlines with guided aerial missiles. Video shows explosions lighting up the skyline as Ukrainian drones land while Russian air defence systems attempt to thwart the attack. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed its air defence systems downed as many as 53 Ukrainian drones, including 44 in Rostov Oblast, six in Krasnodar Krai, one in Kursk, Saratov, and Belgorod oblast. Ukrainian troops have intensified their strikes against military and industrial targets in Russia and used domestically produced long-range drones to successfully attack oil refineries and weapons facilities, in an attempt to weaken Putin’s ability to generate revenue to fund his war machine. In response Russia has announced increased air defence efforts in these areas. #russia #ukraine #war Daily Mail Homepage: h
