Cambridge: Out and About

Take a walk through the historic city centre of Cambridge, visiting several of the colleges of Cambridge University, including the famous chapel at King’s College, Great Gate at Trinity College, and the red-brick St. John’s College. Also we stop off at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of only 4 surviving medieval round churches in England. Originally built in the year 1130, it’s probably one of the oldest buildings in Cambridge. The historic city centre covers quite a small area, but it is packed with all manner of historic buildings and other interesting features. In fact, to see everything I’ve shown you in this video requires a walk of only about 2km, or about a mile and a quarter. There is plenty more available than I could cover during a limited amount of filming time. At some times of year, tourists can enter some of the college grounds, although not in early June during university exams. Social Media: Facebook: Twitter: Instagram: Google Plus: RichardB1983
