Music With Plants, Nr.2 // Damian Marhulets + hand werk Ensemble

“Music with Plants“ is a series of four Etudes exploring the idea of non-intentional musical creation. The whole series is based around the #Instruo #Scion eurorack module, which translates biofeedback data - sourced from the plant or other organic surface - into musically useful control signals. Scion is a module full of magic, although it can be unpredictable and hard to tame. It really forces you to take on a co-creative role instead of creating music from a more familiar egocentric perspective. It is highly rewarding once you let it do its thing and focus on symbiotic approach. “Music with Plants, Nr.2“ is a very special collaboration with my friends from “hand werk“ - a Cologne-based contemporary music ensemble. The piece features Daniel Agi (Flute), Heni Kim (Clarinet) and Niklas Seidl (Cello) who perform along my #Eurorack patch.
