Watercolor Painting of Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman

This double-portrait was challenging! What you see here is over three hours of painting sped-up 16 times. Musician Amanda Palmer and writer Neil Gaiman celebrated their wedding anniversary on the day that I painted this (total coincidence). I had trouble finding a good reference photo of them together, so I combined two different ones here. Amanda’s photo was a lot more detailed than Neil’s so I put her in the foreground. You’ll see that the bulk of this video is devoted to me dealing with her interesting f
