Queen Unveils Heroic World War II Secret Agent Portrait at Royal Air Force Club

Queen Camilla unveiled a portrait of the heroic British secret agent Noor Inayat Khan, and named a room in her honour, at the Royal Air Force Club in London. Noor Inayat Khan was a British agent working for the Special Operations Executive (SOE) during World War II. She was the first female wireless operator to be sent to France to assist the French Resistance while their fought against Nazi occupation in 1943. She was eventually captured by the Nazis, and executed at Dachau concentration camp in 1944. She was posthumously awarded the George Cross for her service.
