Fwd from @istanbul_wolf 🇹🇷🇸🇪It never happened and now it’s happening again: someone publicly burned the Koran in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The woman who burned the holy book called for a ban on Islam in Europe. Following previous Koran burnings, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his allies have stated multiple times that they will not allow Sweden to join NATO until Stockholm prohibits such actions ( desecration of the Koran - approx.). In response, Sweden did not comply with Erdogan’s demands, only making minor legislative changes. However, Erdogan eventually agreed to meet Stockholm’s conditions, and the Turkish Grand National Assembly approved Sweden’s NATO membership. #Turkey Источник: Rybar in English
