Sea angel (Clione limacina)

Sea angel (Clione limacina) uses wing-shaped flapping appendages (parapodia) and has no shell (from its Greek name “gymnos“ means “naked“, “soma“ - “body“) - these signs are well adapted for swimming. Usually found in temperatures between 5°C and 12°C in the North Atlantic and Pacific. They feed exclusively on the thecosomatous pteropod Limacina helicina and, also planktonic.
