Rotana - The Cure

When I first hear this, I got an AWOLNation Sail vibe. The downtempo, ambient verses with the intense chorus really work for an arrangement harmony. I like the songs that have beautiful verses and then intense chorus’ that make me FEEL. Rotana does just that in her new music video, The Cure. Rotana was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. She moved to the United States in 2013 on an employee scholarship. She eventually quit her job to do music full time in Los Angeles. Since then, she’s shared the stage with Common, Andra Day, Jim James, Hunter Hayes, Peter Dinklage, Ava DuVernay and more. Rotana considers the music she makes as an expression of the ability to erupt with passion, and that’s exactly what she’s doing in this music video.
