Cottage at Flatford - acrylic painting by Steve Buchanan

This is a painting i’ve been planning for a few months following a couple of visits to Flatford on the river Stour in Suffolk, the setting for the famous painting ’The Hay Wain’ by John Constable painted in 1821. Much of the scenery is exactly the same as it was two hundred years ago thanks to the area being conserved and managed by the National Trust.
