DRONE: ’Ice Town’ left after historic snow storm in Ontario, Canada

Drone footage showed a row of houses fully crystallized in ice, turning Ontario’s Fort Erie town into a fairytale ’ice town’ on Tuesday (December 27). A historic blizzard that hit states of the U.S. and Canada over the Christmas weekend brought strong winds, freezing rain, heavy snowfall, power outages, and a massive cancellation of flights. Canada’s Niagara region which includes Fort Erie, Crystal Beach, Port Colborne, and Wainfleet declared a state of emergency on Saturday (December 24) after wind and snow battered areas near Lake Erie and the U.S. border. Western New York was hardest hit by an Arctic deep freeze and sprawling storm front that extended over most of the United States for days as far south as the Mexican border. Across the U.S., at least 60 lives have been lost in weather-related incidents in recent days, NBC News said. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
