Say hello to Neil the seal! #animals #australia #shorts

Have you heard of Neil the seal? He’s a young male southern elephant seal (Mirounga leonina) who was born in southern Tasmania a few years ago. He’s regularly seen lazing around parks, footpaths and peoples’ gardens. He’s even napped in driveways, preventing people from taking their cars out. Best excuse ever for being late for work! This week Neil decided that the Tasman Highway at Dunalley was a good spot to nap. Keeping him safe has been a whole community affair, involving SES and police.
