Follow ► The inspiration behind this video: Clea’s debut in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness post-credits scene could open the door for one surprise villain’s introduction in Doctor Strange 3. Charlize Theron made a shock appearance as Clea at the end of Multiverse of Madness, warning Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) that his multiversal antics had caused an incursion, leading the pair to travel through a dimensional gateway into the Dark Dimension, directly setting up the events of Doctor Strange 3. The Dark Dimension had previously been seen in 2016’s Doctor Strange, which last saw the titular MCU hero battle the evil Dormammu, who shares an interesting relation to Clea herself. In Marvel Comics, Clea debuted in 1964’s Strange Tales #126 as a sorceress, Dormammu’s niece, and eventual wife to Doctor Strange, as well as his successor as the Sorcerer Supreme. Her appearance in the MCU was highly anticipated, but came as a surprise in the final moments of Multiverse of Madness, though this does help to set up some perfect storylines for the next installment in Doctor Strange’s MCU trilogy. While the return of Dormammu in Doctor Strange 3 has been teased, it’s more likely that Marvel Studios will want to introduce a new villain, fortunately, the best potential new villain can also be found in the Dark Dimension.
