Growing, Harvesting and Storing a Year’s Worth of Food in Cold Cellar Under a Log Cabin

Winter’s coming and I’ve been focusing on harvesting, preserving and storing a year’s supply of food in my cold storage under my log cabin, including a freezer full of meat and shelves full of root vegetables, squash, pickles, freeze dried meals and more. This week, I harvest the last of the garden, build a door for the cellar and build heavy shelves to store the pails of grains, corn, pasta, milk, rice, MREs and freeze dried vegetables and fruit.
