Luis Díaz’s father in tears as son scores twice against Brazil

The rescued father of Liverpool forward Luis Díaz wept in the stands as he watched his son score twice for Colombia in a 2-1 victory over Brazil. Luis Manuel Díaz was reunited with his son earlier this week after being held hostage by rebels for 12 days. And he was visibly overwhelmed by his son’s heroics on the pitch against Brazil as, wearing a Colombia shirt, he had to be held up by other supporters during the emotional celebrations in Barranquilla.
