FATV - Exclusive FA Cup highlights of Fleetwood Town v Wallsall. Fleetwood were denied an FA Cup shock against 10-man Walsall after a stunning display by veteran keeper Jimmy Walker. Matt Richards slotted home to put Walsall ahead, but Town’s Steve McNulty missed a penalty after Richard Taundry felled Ian Craney in the box. Craney was then the victim of a reckless two-footed challenge by Ryan McGivern that earned him a red card. Jamie Mullan’s looping 20-yard strike drew Fleetwood level, but Walker made a string of late saves to force a replay. The world famous FA Cup is the oldest, and largest football competition in the world. The first FA Cup competition in season 1871-72 had fifteen entries. (This season more than 700 took part.) Wanderers, a team formed by ex-public school and university players, won the first final 1-0 against Royal Engineers at Kennington Oval.
