Acoustic Guitar Sessions Presents Roy Book Binder

Country-blues troubadour Roy Book Binder stopped by the Acoustic Guitar Sessions studio to perform songs from his 2013 album The Good Book (on his own label Pegleg Records). Watch above as Book Binder, a ragtime master, sings “It Coulda Been Worse,” “Step Right Up,” and “The Good Book,” and spins a few yarns about being a student, friend, (and chauffeur!) of Reverend Gary Davis, performing with bluesman Pink Anderson, and his secret to mastering guitar playing. Book Binder plays a Tony Klassen-built replica of a Montgomery Ward version of a 1930 Gibson Nick Lucas Special. (The original is owned by Norman Blake.)
