Father Is Holding A Pair Of Queens

The American Queen and the Queen of the Mississippi were operated by two different companies, and normally did not travel together. But on October 5 & 6, 2014, they were within a mile of each other as they traveled downriver between St. Paul and St. Louis on a fall color excursion. This video features footage captured at 8 locations between Maple Springs, MN and Lynxville, WI. The Queen of the Mississippi, only two years old at the time, has since been renamed American Pride, and an even newer boat, the former American Eagle, now wears the Queen of the Mississippi name. The American Queen is the largest passenger riverboat ever built, and was 19 at the time of this video.
