No Reply features John and George on their acoustic J-160s. George’s part seems to be electrified while John’s is miked from the sound hole. Their two parts blend so well together despite this difference making it extremely difficult to tell the two apart. After many rewrites, I transcribed what I believe each is doing but will never be 100% confident. One thing I would do differently, is to have a thicker high E string on George’s part specifically, but it wouldn’t hurt John’s sound either. When George plays the top E string along with the rest of the chord, it really rings and stands on top of the mix.
