Visit Visit our website This late 1960s color travelog style film was produced by Norman Schley, a skilled filmmaker from Waukesha, Wisconsin USA, who made a series of amateur films under the moniker “Schley Ride“ and/or “Picturelogue inc.“ Some of his films aired on television, while others were shown in front of audiences with Schley narrating the film live. This particular account is the second film in a two part series about a journey through western Europe (part 1 can be seen here: ). This particular installment highlights the cultural and architectural wonders of Austria, Germany, Italy, and France. The film opens with a map of Western Europe highlighting the traveler’s route. The film then displays a montage of clips taken from car and train windows as they travel. The film was photographed by Norman E. Schley himself.
