Visit Visit our website “Your First Speech“ is an educational film from the 1950s, produced by Bailey Films, Inc., and starring Cartlton Brownless as a student named Carl, and his teacher Mr. Wallace played by Bill Simonsen. The film was intended to show high school students the basics of delivering a good speech. The teacher Mr. Wallace speaks to the class about good posture, eye contact and how to choose a topic. It demonstrates a student asking questions, writing and practicing his speech on deep sea fishing. He delivers it successfully and his confidence is boosted.
