Soviet Ukrainian song about Olena (Lyalya) Ubiyvovk, a partisan and leader of a Komsomol cell during the Second World War called “The Undefeated Poltava Woman“. Together with her comrades, she gathered weapons, conducted anti-fascist agitation among the inhabitants of Poltava. The underground managed to establish contact with the partisan unit. Because of their activities, all the most active participants of the cell were caught by the German invaders; she and 5 other members of the cell were executed by the Germans. The song was written by Teren (Terentiy) Masenko and composed by Platon Maiboroda. Lyrics: 1. Над полями пісня слави лине в небо голубе. Юна дівчина з Полтави, не забудемо тебе.
