One of such protected areas in 2010 was organized in the high-mountainous Kosh-Agachsky region of the Altai Republic. The Saylyugemsky National Park is located in the very center of the Altai-Sayan mountainous country at the junction of Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and China, one of the few regions of the planet with a high level of biological diversity. In the regional center - the village of Kosh-Agach - a seminar is being held to teach how to find traces of a snow leopard. The main task of the national park is to preserve the largest groups of snow leopards and Altai mountain sheep - argali in Gorny Altai. Park staff will explore a rugged area with narrow deep gorges. Experienced guides and inspectors approach the development of the winter field route very carefully.
