Video for “California Uber Alles“ by the Dead Kennedys

Go back to 1979 … Jerry Brown was the 34th governor of California, and Jimmy Carter was the President of the United States. The California based punk group Dead Kennedys released a song called “California Uber Alles” criticizing(?) the liberal policies and political ambitions of Jerry Brown. After his national political ambitions went un-realized, he again became California’s governor from 2011-2019. However, this video focuses on how Jello Biafra (singer and songwriter) saw Jerry Brown in 1979.
