Classic Game Room HD reviews SAGAIA from Taito for Sega Genesis. This SHMUP space ship shooter is called Sagaia but is really Darius 2. Darius II, a 1989 arcade game from Taito, is available on numerous game consoles (including the Sega Saturn) but found this new name on our Mega Drive. This 1991 release for the Genesis is one of the most challenging space ship shooters (or SHMUPS) on the Sega Genesis which packs numerous levels and a “choose your own adventure“ style of level progression.
