Netanyahu vows to fight to ’very end’ as aid enters Gaza & truce demands increase

Israel has continued to strike what it says are militant targets in all parts of Gaza. A Hamas tunnel was discovered inside a children’s bedroom in Jabalya, northern Gaza by the Israeli military. At nightfall on Saturday, residents reported intensified fighting in the centre of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, with Israeli planes and tanks bombing and shelling and the sound of rocket grenades, apparently fired by Hamas fighters. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel “will continue to fight until the end” in the latest Israel-Hamas war. Gaza remained under a communications blackout for a fourth straight day — the longest of several outages over the course of the conflict. Aid groups say this complicates rescue efforts after bombings and makes it even more difficult to monitor the conflict’s toll on civilians. Israel could come under further pressure to scale back major combat operations when U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visits this week. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
