This madcap group was formed in Los Angeles from studio musicians who gathered to perform at a regular festival in the crater of the Diamond Head volcano in Hawaii. There, on April 1, 1972, this amazing jam was recorded. This festival marked the first time the musicians got together and played together, taking to the main stage and recording a live album after just two days of rehearsing together. The release was released in quantities of one thousand copies on the Volcano label.
