The UN’s World Food Programme says it has paused aid deliveries to northern Gaza, due to security concerns, sparked increasing fears for the civilians still trapped there. At the UN Security Council, a resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire was vetoed by the United States despite 13 out of 15 members voting in its favour. For the first time, the mother of Alexei Navalny has spoken up and urged the Russian president to release her son’s body, so she can bury her son immediately and humanely.
