Idris Elba Faces Terror in the Sky in Apple TV Plus’ Hijack

Idris Elba stars and executive produces a new action thriller series Hijack, which will premiere on Apple TV Plus on June 28. The series follows the tense and gripping events of a plane hijacking that unfolds in real-time over eight episodes. Elba plays Ben Carter, a former soldier who is on his way to London for a job interview. He boards a flight with his estranged daughter Zoe (played by Sophie Okonedo), hoping to reconnect with her. However, their plans are disrupted when a group of armed terrorists take over the plane and demand a ransom of $500 million. Carter must use his skills and courage to protect his daughter and the other passengers, while also trying to figure out who is behind the hijacking and why. He soon discovers that there is more to the situation than meets the eye, and that he may be the only one who can stop a global catastrophe.
