⟐ Please read the desc for the story and know more about the making of this animation! ⟐ Oh hey, it’s such a miracle that I finish this????? There a lot of time I feel like I couldn’t finish it and just drop it. But I guess my will power is something ⟐ The ORIGIN ⟐ -The lore of how I made this lore was when I was still at school sometimes around September 2018 and some of my classmate playing some epic music and it inspired me to imagine some fighting scene with a few cool characters. I didn’t imagined how they would look like but eventually in Inktober 2019 I tried to draw the other 3 characters as an Inktober prompt (the basilisk, the hare and the boar) I haven’t think about it since until this contest appears, in which the song makes me remembered this story existed. So I was like “hey what a opportunity to animate what my teenager self used to wish that they would do something about this story someday“ ⟐ The LORE ⟐ - Now the actual lore of this AMV, it’s not that complicated because it was made with simple minded child brain of me - The 4 characters in the AMV are the 4 demigods: Hy (the cat-Asian dragon hybrid), Te (the water dragon-basilisk hybrid), Na (the hare-hyena hybrid), Bo (the boar-armadillo hybrid) - They all came to the sacred peak of Judgement like the prophecy has been told (The huge stone carving on the top of the stairs) to challenge the current God (the owl in the stone carving) so they could become the next god. But before challenging the God, they have to win the fight with the other 3 demigods (challengers) as well. - All the cracks and torn bricks on the way to the peak were made by the previous battles from previous demigods, it’s kinda a battle arena xD In short the demigods just fighting and the winner will become the next god, until the next demigod challenging them and the cycle will repeat ⟐ The TRAGEDY during the making of this AMV ⟐ - I kind of render this the 3rd time and it still have so many mistakes like wahhh 😔 This was made during my thesis period so time is super tight to balance between thesis film/moving/classes. - Plus kind of not cash money cuz I started 1 week later than the contest was announced, and I took another 5 days to redesign all of them (Old designs kinda stinki 💀). Also another tragedy is that I feel like some scene kinda push my laptop to limit and it has a lot of render error and timing mistakes (especially the final scene with the 3D dragon). I can’t just spend another 3 hours to re-render it again due to time and you know, my laptop can commit shut down any time, devastated - But uh hey at least I kinda push through my limit and finish something within 3 weeks. This meme was way more complicated than Darkside (for example the dynamic poses, the extreme backgrounds, the fighting scene, the very complicated character designs, the struggle to manage to introduce 4 character in a 1 minute AMV) It’s not the best outcome due to lack of revision and rush storyboard lead to a train wreck coming after but I’m glad I pulled it off 💪 Thank you all for checking out the animation, it means a lot to me with all the supports.
