Making a New C64 Power Supply, Part 1

Project time! Building (or re-building) a modern Commodore 64 power supply with a switch-mode buck converter module, more reliable than the original, with no risk of sending 12V to the C64 5V bus. I’m doing it the hard-ish way, reusing the original enclosure and cables to preserve the look and feel. The new transformer is potted in silicone and in case of anything, easier to remove than the original epoxy resin potted power supply. 0:00 Intro 2:25 Stand By For Technical Difficulties 3:30 Parts 4:47 Mechanical Construction 6:10 Silly-cone and Big Wrench! 7:55 Schematic 9:30 The Problem With The Original PSUs 10:45 Spreading the Silly-cone 12:20 Dipping the Transformer and Supports 15:55 Building the Circuit, The Interesting Part 26:05 Afterword Support @FranLab and get her re-issue C64 BASIC black T-shirt!
