How to Make Paint Your Own (PYO) Easter Sugar Cookies

Welcome to our channel! Paint your own sugar cookies are great activities for kids during the holidays. These sugar cookies are easy to decorate and are quick to prepare. Frost your desired cookie with white royal icing, then use a PYO stencil with medium consistency, black royal icing. You can also create your own by piping a design with the black royal icing directly onto the cookie. Once the icing is dry, paint using a pre-made edible paint palette or create your own using airbrush colors. When painting these sugar cookies, if you have too much water in your brush, it may cause the black royal icing to bleed into your design. To avoid this, use white royal icing with your stencil or to pipe your design on the cookie. To paint your cookie, use the edible paints like watercolors. Once the palette has been wetted, you are able to use more color and less water to achieve darker, more vibrant colors.
