This can also work vice versa with a southpaw getting countered with a left hook over top of the jab. Tom shows how to throw the hook overtop the jab as a southpaw. Then Tom explains if the boxer stops using his jab, you are trying to cut the distance so instead of jabbing at his face, you can throw the jab over his right shoulder which makes it impossible for the hook to hit you.
