In softball, Team Canada beat Mexico to win bronze to make Olympic history and win the first ever medal for Canada in softball. In judo; a day after Jessica Klimkait became the first Canadian woman to win an Olympic medal in judo, Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard won a bronze medal against Venezuela’s Anriquelis Barrios. In tennis; torchbearer Naomi Osaka’s Olympic dreams end after losing to Markéta Vondroušová from the Czech Republic.
