Schubert: Symphony No. 8

Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 is a composition that Schubert started composing in 1822. Commonly known as the Unfinished Symphony (Die Unvollendete), because although living for another six years, only two movements where written. The symphony is sometimes called the first Romantic symphony. It has been theorized that a finale was composed, but instead became the Entr’acte in B Minor from his Rosamunde.
